He has extensive knowledge of compensation trends, benefit plan designs, BOLI products, accounting, and compliance issues related to the banking marketplace. He has a broad background including banking, fixed income investments, life insurance, and executive benefit consulting for Fortune 500 companies and banks. Over the years he has spoken at various state bank association meetings, state treasurer associations, and other finance related forums regarding compensation, investments, and insurance topics. Mr. Layne holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Registered Executive Benefits Consultant (REBC) designations from The American College. He graduated from Washington & Lee University (Lexington, VA.) with a major in Economics.
